   
Pulled Pork Slow Cooker
If you have ever heard the term Pulled pork slow cooker, it is referring to Slow cooked pulled pork. This can be
achieved in a couple of different ways. One way would be to use a crock pot. Using a crock pot for your pulled pork
slow cooker is very effective and very easy. Another way to make a pulled pork slow cooker is by smoking it in a
smoker. A smoker is like a bar-b-Q pit. The difference is instead of cooking over an open fire it is basically the
wood that smolders and cooks the food leaving it with a wonderful Smokey taste.
Not as many people have access to a smoker as they do a crock pot. Therefore it may be easer to make your crock
pot your pulled pork slow cooker. Either way you choose to make it, it is super simple to make and is so
delicious, your whole family will beg for more. It tastes best served on a hearty Kaiser roll with a side of French
fries, and beans.
Try adding some of the pork into the beans for an extra special treat. There are several ways to serve your pork
after you pull it out of what ever you used as a pulled pork slow cooker. You can add or substitute different
spices in the recipe to your taste.
You can use the following recipe with directions no matter what you are using for a pulled pork slow cooker.
Things You'll Need:
1 teaspoon original meat tenderizer
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 pound pork roast
1 bottle barbecue sauce, a smoky flavoured one works well
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Step1
Mix together in a small bowl tenderizer, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and the onion powder.
Step 2
Unwrap the wrappings from the pork roast and rinse the roast with warm water.
Step 3
Sprinkle the dry spice mixture over the top of the pork roast and rub it around the roast until it is completely
covered with spices. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to absorb the dry rub mixture.
Step 4
Mix the Smokey barbecue sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup and the apple cider vinegar or apple juice in a medium dish
until smooth.
Step 5
Place the pork roast into the slow cooker and pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the roast. Place the lid over
the roast and turn the slow cooker on low and allow the roast to cook for 6 to 8 hours. If you are in a rush, you
can turn it on high for 3 to 4 hours, but the pulled pork will not be as tender if it is cooked quickly. If using a
smoker, make sure on the side that you have the fire in is doing well and is high before putting the meat on.
Step 6
Pull the pork out of which ever vessel you used to make your pulled pork slow cooker. You can use either two forks
to shred the pork or it will be tender enough to pull the bone out and run through a chopper.
Step 7
Mix the pork into remaining sauce until it is thoroughly covered.
